The Original Venice Crew family has lost an icon.
Ted Sutton took the final checkered flag Wednesday evening.
An alumnus of the Shelby shop in Venice, Ted worked on many of Carroll Shelby’s special projects. He put the first 427 into a Cobra chassis, worked with Jim O’Leary on the Tiger project, and served as Crew Chief on the GT350 Mustang.
Ted was a great family man, a wonderful mechanic, and a first-class fabricator.
His skill, spirit, and legacy will forever remain part of the Original Venice Crew.
